Perfect Abs Workouts For Fast Results
Let's be honest, people love to own flat abs. Many folks consider a six pack extremely sexy. The question is what exercises can you do to get one?
Strang enough most abs are not in such a bad condition at all. The issue is really the fat covering the abs. With a sensible diet and exercise you'll get rid of that excess belly fat and show off your abs proudly.
The initial exercise for your abs is the crunch. Lay on the floor on your back. Put your feel flat on the floor. With your hands behind your head, raise slowly towards your knees without pulling your knees towards you. Hold this for 2 seconds before slowly relaxing back to the floor.
After the crunch you do the reverse crunch. You maintain the position from the previous exercise and rather than lifting your head, you elevate your pelvis and push upwards.
The stationary bike crunch is another great exercise. Still on your back on the ground, elevate your legs up and bend your knees at ninety degrees so that your lower legs are parallel with the ground. Lift yourself up slightly to touch the other elbow with the alternative knee.
Another way of strengthening your abs is by doing Torso Twists. Stand with your arms out from your body to either side parallel to the ground. Swing your arms from side to side by turning your upper body but keep your hips stationary.
A great exercise that focuses on your lower body and core muscles is the squat. Stand up and hold your arms out straight in front of you. Keep your back straight as you bend your knees into a squatting position as low as you can go. Hold there for the count of 5 and then stand back up. Repeat this as many times as you're ready to. You can vary this by performing the squat with your back against a wall.
Another exercise that's good for toning the abs are knee ups. Sit on a bench, chair or other solid surface and extend your legs outwards. As you pull your knees up to your chest, contract your tummy muscles. Hold it for 2 or three seconds and then repeat. Perform this execise smoothly and steadily.
The quantity of exercises you do will rely upon your level of fitness. If you're already relatively fit then you may be in a position to try and do more of each exercise. If you have spent a while sat at a desk in front of a pc as several people have, you'll realize your muscles are poorly toned.
If you start to feel any pain when doing these exercises, stop immediately. The last issue you would like to try and do is cause yourself an injury. Start slowly and always aim to push yourself a little bit further every time you do the exercises. Aim to try and do the exercises four or five times a week.
Combine these abs exercises with a good healthy eating program and you'll be surprised how quickly you will find your abs are looking fantastic.
